There's a reason why the DBZ Figuarts line has such a wide variety of figures, with villains all the time and lines like PAK getting more figures made than you usually see from a company like REvoltech or Figma, such as the Metal Gear lines getting villains made. PAKs are distributed widely in the US, so you can find their figures and DBZ figures in mass market stores like Barnes and Noble.
Nevermind that companies like Bandai have higher expectations on the units sold vs some small company.
So maybe a Japanese small time creator has to market and ship their figures to the US, if the Japanese don't want anyone but main characters, little girls, and no villains. And i find it really hard to believe no one wants a Shinji figure.
The US is a much larger market than Japan, so it should be more than worth it. Then there's Europe too.
One year is too long for no one to make their own toyline in Japan. IS there a restriction like there was in the US for not making toys?
