>>10539773>while the accessory count on tjose guys maybe getting close to import levelsLOL no
We already were getting a shit load of accessories back in the day. GIANT BAFs existed because we were getting our money's worth from the toys we were already buying
This picture
https://i.4cdn.org/toy/1690283520871241.jpg? That's Low-Lite who came with more accessories than the current Low-Lite. Nearly TWICE as many more accessories. Current BAFs are 2x smaller than what we used to get and don't have as much articulation. Even McFarlane, who is pretty bro in his prices, their giant figures are pretty small compared to the BAFs we used to get
>quality of plastic how do you know? Do you even know the type of plastic they use? More expensive lines like Acid Rain used even rubberierer plastics than the straps (silicon? nylon?) on a 25th GI Joe and they cost nearly $50 per figure
Companies like McFarlane use hard plastics still and they cost less than Mattel and Hasbro figures. Mattel too uses harder plastics than Hasbro. And all these toys are budget children toys. Every company (McFarlane, Jazwares, Mattel, etc) who makes vehicles also use hard plastics and they cost anywhere from $25-$40. It's Tonka tough steel that can survive jumps on ramps to knowhere over a story high
So plastic is a major unknown, in terms of costs and how purposeful it actually is
And imports don't have more complex engineering, given the fact that many companies have imitated them before (DCC) or were imitated by Japan in the first place (McFarlane). Some companies also seem outdated, like Figma, and all those Busou Shinki wannabes. And besides budget children toys, once you start paying $30-$40, the quality in every aspect is as high or higher than import lines that cost twice as much. Stuff like
>>10538991 looks so cheap compared to Mythic Legions in terms of paint and almost every toyline beats Mythic Legion in terms of articulation, because 4 Horsement really love to rip off their customers
