Mattel seemingly had no faith in it, promoting Revelations way ahead of it. What the fuck were they thinking? This was the new way to get the kids in and instead they focused on crap for dying Gen X losers.
The fans focused on their culture war shit instead of enjoying the good cartoon and talking about its quality. The best way to kill a product is drain it of attention, the fans did that to CGI instead of the one they supposedly hated. They wouldn't stop paying attention to that.
The toys were perfectly fine for their demographic. Big, chunky and had classic action features. Characters were redesigned in a respectful but fresh way. It was a far better reboot for a new generation than 2002 was and a better series than New Adventures was.
It makes me mad bros. I can just sit happy I own pretty much everything that was produced.
