My Gouf arrived in the mail yesterday, and to celebrate I went up to Gamestop and picked up a Zeta Gundam kit for $21 to have a Gundam for him to fight, pic related.
I started with building the Zeta kit as my first Gunpla in over a decade. He took me perhaps four hours to build, and was sticker hell. Way too may stickers with that guy and perhaps too many parts. He looks cool though, but a bit fiddly. His hands like to pop off just from the weight of his guns.
But... onto the main event, the Gouf, now this kit was fun to build. It felt better designed with the right amount of parts to not be too much of a pain in the ass to build and only one sticker. He took me less than an hour to build versus the probably 4 hours it took me working on the Zeta, and overall a fun figure to play around with. I even went about and threw some panel lining on him, though putting them on the tubes were a bitch. I'm debating on if I'm going to buy some Zakus next or army build a few Goufs.
