I have a number of phicens / tbleague and some Jiaodol. I have not seen any skin deterioration on my old plastic skeleton phicens and some are from the first ones put on sale. They have other problems due to the plastic skeletons. Had a tiny tear on a steel phicen foot on the version with the attached feet, dab of glue and never opened up again. Have one Jiaodol out of 4 that has skin cracking on one foot, again on an attached foot version. Like anything else if you don't handle or maintain them properly , they will break and decay. When ever I re-dress the figures I wash the skin and apply talcum powder on them to keep them in good condition.
