But if that doesn't matter to you, then by your logic, none of the playable female protagonists from Pokemon are "canon", either, because they aren't the default choice. But the cursor's ALWAYS gonna be hovering over male by default (or "type 1", if you prefer). It sounds a bit stupid to be crying over what's canon in a game that literally has multiple possible outcomes depending on your choices, anyway. If you're going to bitch about which gender is the "canon" gender for Byleth, then would you care to clue me in on which of the 3 houses is the "canon" house that Byleth chooses?
