I really kind of just prefer good looking and well built toys instead of prefering specific designs and styles and so on.
I tend to like zoidformers more as a whole because they consistently look good as a result of robot animals just play being easier to make, but good looking beastformers that have solid and convincing beast modes and robot modes that incorporate the beast elements into them very well are probably the transformers I find the most impressive.
I especially like it when they're convincing though. When I bought LG Rhinox my sister asked me why the hell I have a plastic Rhino on my shelf.
