That old Fess Parker miniseries was great, we had a VHS of the movie they made with the first series from Red Stick to the Alamo, so much kino. Got a few coonskin cap dudes among my wild west figures, the blue guy here is a bit out of place with his musket and powder horn when everyone else is packing repeaters heh.
Funny story, one of the first army men sets my brother got was a nice cowboys and indians set with many of the classic poses and accessories. There seemed to be a defect with one cowboy pose in particular, a guy aiming one pistol while drawing a second from a holster - can see one in the pic just in front of the white flag guy. One or two of them had lost their heads while still in the package, and more would do so over time from just play and jostling around in bags and stuff. For reasons never explained (at the time or since) my brother called those guys Davy Crocketts. The moniker has stuck and there's still a couple in the collection.
