No problems at all with the figures, nothing stuck, nothing loose, Newborn CAN stand by itself, but I wouldn't trust it to do so over a long period of time. The pus-nasty colored plastic they used for Newborn is perfect, it's slimy and gross looking.
Very happy with Ripley, though her hands do have some tiny ass pegs, so I might recommend heat to swap those out if you're going to do that.
