>>7182962Having just snapped the RG a few months ago and then painted the HG, I can say the RG has a bit better proportions. I didn't notice joint issues with the HG, I think they're fine, but you can see they don't look as good as the RG. The RG comes with open hands which are nice. The shoulder vulcans are also have details missing from the HG. and of course the RG has much better OOB color tones if you don't paint, IMO.
in short, yeah i'd probably recommend the RG even if you don't transform it; it's also solid enough to where it will stay in whatever move you put it in if you fiddle with it later unlike many other transformable kits.
