In 2013 I was hyped for The Little Mermaid Deluxe doll set because it was going to include Grimsby, and Vanessa. At the last minute Disney Store decided to save money by including five dolls instead of the normal six by removing Grimsby. They put a sticker over Grimsby's name since they had already printed out all the boxes with his name on it. I got upset, and thought I'd wait to get it on clearances after Christmas, but when I went to the store a cast member told me that all the sets got bought up by a scalper during the morning. The sets sell for around $350 to $400 now due to that rare Vanessa doll, so when I saw it pop up for $200 "buy it now free shipping" this year I bought it. As fate would have it I ended up buying it from someone who lives less than an hour away from me. To add insult to injury the box still had it's $29.99 clearance sticker on it.
I don't know if I did good or bad. In essence I ended up buying it from one of the scalpers in my local area that screwed everyone else over from getting it on sale, however since the Vanessa doll sells for around $200 by it self while the set sells for around $400 I guess I didn't do too bad?
