>>10533715>a lot of these lines from I guess the printing, and a lot of little pore holes from breaking the parts out of those runner stick thingsYes, sometimes 3D prints need more surface prep compared to traditionally cast resin.
The first thing you want to do if you got the parts with supports still attached is to carefully snip the supports off one by one with nippers, leaving a bit of a nub, then sand the nubs off. DO NOT break off the supports. The time to break off the supports is before curing the resin and the parts that came to you have already been cured. Uncured supports break off leaving a nub, cured supports break off leaving a pit.
If the parts came with supports already removed you have no choice but to deal with what you got. Sand off visible nubs if any, then spray thick primer: Tamiya (not fine), MrPrimer Surfacer or MrSurfacer1000. That will fill some of the pits and smooth out the appearance of lines. Sand till completely smooth and repeat. This works the best on large surfaces without detail, if you have complex surface with details you don't want to fill, you will need to work a lot more carefully and use fine primer on detailed areas.
