And this was all decided BEFORE the shipping problem became a long term thing and the current economic/inflation problem. So if shit continues the way it's going right now, prices are still going to increase. It probably has already been decided too.
Just because Hasbro is big enough to push through, that doesn't mean all this shit isn't eventually going to make them change. Smaller companies are always the canary in the mine.
People bitched at the $23 price tags and now we're getting 6" "deluxes" for $29. So what's going to be your breaking point? $24? $26? $30?
Hasbro may be forced to start lowering the budgets on their toys to keep prices the same, and that has never gone over well with any collectors. Pic like this was the beginning of the end for Hasbro's former highly profitable lines which catered to collectors.
