I'm crossboarding from /jp/ but it's for a good cause. (I have resins as well as vinyls, but I need to get my resin dolls painted before I post them.)
>>9379214I don't personally sew my doll's outfits because I'm not very good at making clothes (yet), but I do take them out now and then for photography. While I was out on this photoshoot, three separate groups of old men in boats came down the dock to go fishing. We made small-talk about the weather and the amount of weeds growing in the shallows this time of year -- no one seemed at all weirded out or antagonistic about the dolls. If something inspires you to create and pick up a hobby, you should go for it anon. Life's too short to worry about how other people will react to something that doesn't hurt anyone and enriches your life in some way. Find the dolls you like and the scale you want to work in and go for it!
