Having never built one of these I have some questions.
I bought the kit locally, but there was an Ebay listing for it that would have ended up being $5leafs cheaper.
Coming from buyfagging where everything from China is a bootleg, would that kit have been a bootleg? Do bootleg Tamiya kits exist? Are they a big thing? Or am I totally mistaken in even thinking Tamiya is a Japanese company?
That brings me to the next thing I thought of after that. I'm assuming the kits that Tamiya make aren't sold forever, and that after months or years they discontinue the kit, so are there any companies that either scan or mold the official kit, then start making that kit unofficially?
Finally, is there some archive of all the Tamiya kits? For example I know they made a 1/24 Z31 model and a 1/12 CBR400F model, but they aren't listed on Tamiya's site.
Anyways, now I'm going to start reading those guides in the OP that I should have read before posting this.
