It's a mystery; but only because it's a comedy of executive errors. I think they'll release the second year's stuff and if it doesn't suddenly spark more interest they'll fizzle out the third year.

This will probably kneecap production of more original themes for a few years since 5 years of market research and design created something that appealed to absolutely no one. Remember this is "the most researched theme in Lego history".
Once it wraps up we're going to see one of three things happen: an attempt to market Monkie Kid in the west, doubling down on licences or revival of an older proven theme such as Castle. Given the timeline for development, it's obvious that part of the reason they did nothing to push Monkie Kid in the west is because they were Banking on Dreamzzz filling that role in the West and it has utterly failed to do so.

The issue isn't pessimism towards original themes, the issue is that Dreamzzz just isn't that good.
The sets aren't bad by any means but the builds aren't as good as Ninjago, let alone MK.
The real issue is that the show is noticeably worse than all the other Lego shows.
Poor animation quality, unlikable characters and ESG oozing out of half the episodes limits its appeal to children, parents and autists; that leaves trannies as the only real audience and they're too busy fellating Disney to even glance at Lego media.

Yeah, I used the term liberals, because it was an accurate descriptor. I'm pointing out that even people like Slugger, who are into the DEI, white guilt, child mutilation bullshit thought this show fell flat and the characters sucked. Both sides of the gay culture war said the show sucks
