On the front you can see a portion of gloss that I didn't scrub off, while the rest doesn't reflect. So in a way, I suppose acetone is a good solution for this type of application? As for the light color, I think it's more to do with me scrubbing it with 0000 grade steel wool. Either way, I'm hoping to work more on it later tonight.
