1. Hasbro realized they could siphon more money off of geewunners by making low effort G1 representation of figures. Despite the improving economy and money made from The force Awakens, prices went up and plastic quality/QC went down and people were perfectly ok with it because all they really cared about was getting the new G1 rep
2. TLK made no money. Bayshit was the money printer of the franchise and the reason why Generations could go on for as long as it did and have good toys
3. Quantity over quality (More or less ties in to the first one). Before prime wars, dev times were much longer probably because they wanted the product to be as good as it could be in order to pass QC testing. The problems that figures in Prime Wars had far exceeded the shit that was in even early animated.
4. China. Hasbro moved factories to china due to political shit that isn't important. Just know they along with other Corporations moved their factories to Vietnam who produce lower yield and have access to worse materials to keep prices cheap.
5. Stupid business practices. Shit like that fuckhuge Devastator, the Liokaiser without a Leozack, the soap bottle plastic in Titans Return and the whole of POTP pretty much showed how pants on head retarded Hasbro really is. Unless they knew how willing so many retarded boomers would be to buy this shit, this would have never gotten through.
6. Standards have fallen. People will now defend some of the dumbest bullshit that hasbro pulls on them. Back in the days of BW and Archer, people would constantly point out flaws with some of the engineering of different toys and how gimmicks took away too much of the quality of the figures. We still have the same issues as before only now everyone is perfectly OK with it.
