It's pretty easy to ignore new toys if they have articulation that is somewhat of an improvement, especially for collector toys that are supposed to be accurate the day they were released.
also, "face printing" is a long old tech. Been around since at least the 00s, but used for stuff like this.
It's also inferior to proper paint apps. IT's a cheaper method of applying shade and weathering, at least when it's properly used. As a full replacement for paint apps, it's absolutely shit.
