>>8275796I'm gonna go against the "first models will be dogshit" narrative here and say if you've had any DIY/crafts/art experience, you can probably figure this shit out. Pic related was my first model completed over 10-ish years (did some in my youth but without or with shitty brush paintjobs).
Two main things
1st get a nice starter kit at first. Older Tamiya kits are kinda cheap and have great fit. I'd say start with 1:35 and once you run out of room then consider going smaller. 1:35 is quite forgiving and allows for great detail if you wish.
2nd don't be afraid to redo things you fucked up. That kübelwagen got two sets of paint on it, cause I covered up the first one with base again and re-applied the camo. The first one got fucked up because I hadn't properly figured out how to thin my paints for the airbrush, but an anon on here convinced me it was shit and to try again.
So yeah, I'd say get a good kit in 1:35 and try that out (maybe even without painting at first) and then go from there.
