>>6779523The one in the OP is my build, I seem to be the resident MaK ojiichan at this point with how much I've collected. I would say they are slightly harder to build than modern gunpla thanks to rampant seam lines on the limbs, recycling some really old parts and sometimes having some polycap joints that are a bit too loose.
Technically some of the newer kits might not require cement, but you really should have it on hand in case you run into any trouble with armor cover pieces falling off and such, and of course for erasing the seam lines.
MaK is actually traditionally handpainted for the most part. The MaK ojiichans in Japan seem to really like putting layer upon layer of slightly varying colors and thickness to create a lot of depth and texture. I'd suggest checking out Paint on Plastic on youtube for what seems like the only English-language look into the MaK community.
