>>6544268>>6544428Shapeways pieces are printed plastic from 3D models, so no assembly or paint. There's a lot of different materials, but from what I can tell, Acrylate currently has the best mix of detail and solidity.
Take this with a grain of salt since I haven't actually used Shapeways. You might have more luck in the customs thread, where they are sure to help you with paint and materials.
