So I just adjusted the scaling and printed the parts until they looked okay to the naked eye. Now I know why even toy companies have issues scaling their characters properly.
There's no real formula from my experience, just trial and error.

You're getting bad results on the Teccotoys stuff because they were designed for resin. I designed my stuff for filament. Most 3D artists just model statues focusing on aesthetics alone with no real regard for the manufacturing process, this is why getting details out of filament printers is so difficult.
