>>10074981It's not an issue with transparent plastic or bright colors, it's an issue of visual noise. Highly detailed sculpts with lots of different colors become visually incomprehensible unless you really look closely. The ones that work are the ones that tend to highlight a few details and use relatively limited colors. Older beyblades had simpler designs and fewer colors and as such those designs and colors stood out instead of blending together. It's kind of like comparing any final fantasy character to the ones from team fortress 2. Those TF2 characters are instantly recognizable whereas a lot of the final fantasy ones are kind of just a mess.
