>>10762443This has been explained itt 20 times but just cut with literally anything at those convenient notched Bandai supplied to guide you. Then cut again halfway down, then halfway down from that. Now you have a tiny bit of nub left you can sand/glass file/lick with acidic saliva and have 0 stressmarks or damage that all nippers, including spn-120s inherently leave. You might have discoloration from the molding where pigment settles in the gateway but there's no changing that without paint.
If the area is a little curved like it seems, I recommend the godhands sanding sponges. They're 10mm thick IIRC, use maybe a 400 then a 600 instead of the glass file. You could also try shaving down with a scraper or blade but that's riskier and not really easier unless it's very soft plastic (like modern RG armor on the Sazabi for instance or 30MS).
Or there are thinner sanding sponges (like 5 or 3mm) that you can roll up and use that round shape to sand it out. Sponges are ideal on curved surfaces.
p.s. I no longer necessarily endorse melamine sponges to clean sanding sponges because I suspect it shortens their life span too much but it works and it's prefect for fine files
