Heck, there was even some small (smaller than most convenience stores, and it wasn’t even a “name-brand” convenience store, it was just made and ran by some guy that was probably JUST barely legal to pass inspections from inspectors, and mostly just because he was probably a friend, or knew through a friend or cousin) weird-smelling store (somehow smelling both wet, kind of borderline moldy, like a wet towel that had been out for too long, and very dry at the same time, like fresh wood) in the middle of nowhere, down a road that barely got any traffic, since they made a larger road somewhere else in town, and now got most of its business from selling booze and smokes had a few of them laying around haphazardly or hanging on the nails on the crooked plywood “shelves” that acted as pegs, right next to the cheap tools.
