>>8260770I kinda feel envious. My parents (particularly my mother) limited my TV and video game time during elementary to middle school. Then again, my brother and I had to do what was essentially homework during summer break during that time until we each hit high school and had summer reading assignments from school. When we traveled cross country to see my relatives my brother and I had limited time on our gameboys too (which was difficult when facing long boss fights where we couldn’t save until after the level was complete).
If the kid-me was given the chance to watch videos as much as today’s kids I’d have had a comparatively happier childhood but I’d also probably be dumber from not being forced to read and write so much as a kid. Joke’s on them, I suppose.
