But the sprites were present in the magic meets image dump (I'm not sure what location they're at), so it's more just a case of the Pix recycling assets from the Meets. I think there's very few characters that are completely new on the Pix, even ginjirotchi had some sprites already done from the mix and the phone app's line de hakken integration.
I think Melodytchi only appeared without her hat on the Mix and not on the meets (besides her fantasy version), so they chose to use a different character with existing sprites instead of drawing new sprites
