The old OOO figures were okay. Some of them were fine, others had problems. I would avoid ones with the Batta legs (bad ankle range, though you can remedy this by popping the balljoint halfway off). This was during the era when they were using plain balljoints for ankles. There are also issues with loose hips and/or heads on some, but these can be fixed with Pledge floor polish or a bit of kleenex.
Basically, I think you should wait a bit and see what SHFSS does, and then buy the old ones to fill out the spots that they don't remake, since I am positive they won't remake the full line.
