If it doesn't sell well, they cut orders, which can lead to canceled products and poisons the rest of the brand.
So like i said, if they can't release Vintage Collection stuff to stores because of nuTrilogy poison, then if the Barge is successful they're more likely to sell them there.
Or do you want shit to be released as Comic Con exclusives instead and you cry and bitch about this later when you can't get these?
I have no problem with them doing it SDCC exclusive, because I go every year and never have a problem getting exclusives.
