I love AK-12 in her Silent Cyan outfit and there are plenty of other dolls with outfits that look like they'd be more at home in Nikke which itself feels like if Blue Archive and GFL had a baby at least aesthetic wise. But if you're comparing the "faces" of both franchises then GFL clearly leans far more into the tactical military aesthetic than Blue Archives which has a more more cute school girls with guns and halos character design.

If you're talking about the tendency for Chinese characters to be more overdesigned as well as the obnoxious incorporation of more "realistic" art styles into the anime aesthetic than I can pretty much agree with you though I think that's far more of a problem with Arknights than GFL.
Japan just seems to have zero interest in putting out a new girls with guns franchise/IP. China's got GFL, Nikke, and I guess Arknights (FIGMA WHERE IS MY FUCKING W FIGURE?! I DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE NENDROID!) and Korea has Blue Archive, Last Origin, and Destiny's Child, but Japan is asleep at the wheel. I'm honestly surprised that Aniplex didn't try and spin-off Lycoris Recoil into a gacha game/multi media franchise similar to what Bandai is doing with Takt Op. I wonder if the absolute collapse of Delightworks because of their awful game Sakura Kakumei made them averse to trying t get into that space again since DW lost 3 billion yen with that catastrophe.
