>>6765521The interesting thing is that thanks to the first 2K12 wave, we know that Playmates is capable of producing a VERY good toy. Shit, those first four Turtles are genuinely among my favorite toys of the last decade, no joke. The question is really whether they'll step up or not. I know that the 2K12 toyline did generally do well, but I also know there was a fair amount of backlash, and not just from collectors--you can find quite a few pissed reviews from kids and parents alike who are disappointed in the poor quality toys that often deviate from the show designs/colors. Maybe Playmates will learn from that. Probably not.
In any case, I'm hoping for the best. If we can get even a single wave's worth of good toys from this like 2K12, I'll buy in, even if I'm not thrilled with the designs.
