Here are Rey and Tico from Last Jedi. Rey has that simplified look. Her face is smooth and technically pretty. But the flat paint apps hardly make her face look pretty. They WANT to make her look pretty but she's not.
Tico is what BFS is going for. Only it actually works here. Probably because the director/cinematographer/costume designer, filmed her to bring attention to her less attractive features and this translated to the toy. She actually looks kinda dumpy with a big flat nose here, but it doesn't look that bad because unlike the Dragon Harvester, she doesn't have a hot bod to bring attention to her girthy face, or a helmet which makes her nose look ginormous.
Err, but anyway, I'm not really trying to troll or argue. But analyzing the aesthetics.
