Most companies opt to give figures kind of basic articulation that's okay for most poses, but won't be able to hit anything really dynamic. Even most "super-articulated" figures only fit that description by virtue of having a lot of joints, even if most of their joints don't have the range to pull off anything really crazy or realistic. Ideally, joints should be given a lot of clearance space to get the most out of them, but often this results in complaints of "gappy sculpts" so more often than not companies try to strike a balance that compromises articulation range for a more preserved sculpt.
