I've been wanting to get into the world of building-block tanks for years now and finally decided to get into it. From what I can tell the Cobi tanks are the best quality and looks, but they are also rather pricy. On average they cost in the 45-60€ range, although I also saw a few smaller tanks for 30€. Spending 100€ and having two tanks to show for it would hurt my small purse, so I think I will start with cheaper alternatives. There are quite a few Sluban tanks. They don't look as detailed as the COBI variants, but they are a not only a good chunk cheaper but also offer bonus content.
Tank 1 looks pretty cool to begin with, the highlights are the camo pattern and for me the greatest thing is almost the funky lookin MG34/42 hybrid (with the drum on the wrong side lmao).
Tank 2 is nothing too special now that I look at it desu, it costs the same as 1 but 1 looks way cooler and I'm not too hot for the bike .
Tank 3 is just really cheap, 15 bucks for a small tank and a mortar position is pretty good.
Number 4 also seems like a good value package, you get the troop transporter, which admittedly looks way worse than the COBI one, but it is over 10€ cheaper and comes with a big anti tank gun too (just now noticed, the barrell of it is cross-shaped, but I could maybe change it out) . Anons who care about historic accuracy probably get a heart attack at the american 50 cal on it, but I don't care at all about that on block sets desu, since you can just build it however you like.
Number 5 is even cheaper, 20 bucks for a modern (although small) tank is pretty good. It has several guns and even comes with a bonus stationary MG.
Set 6 seems to be the best value for the money on paper, you get a tank, a small jeep and a ground-ground missile launcher car think, but strangely enough with that set it looks way, way worse quality than the other WW2 sets from Sluban. I guess all those exposed studs makes them look cheap.
I will probably go for set 1, 4 or 5.
