ThreeA's effort looks like lazy, rushed shit while Mezco's was designed in direct co-operation with 2000AD/Dredd artist Ben Wilsher.
'It looks more old-school' is not a working defence, ThreeA's doesn't even come up to the level of the old ToyBiz Dredd, which has a lot of Brian Bolland and Carlos Ezquerra DNA, in that regard.
I have a decent collection of ThreeA figures, including a few Action Portables, so I think I can speak with some authority when I say that so far Mezco have curbstomped them with their One:12 Collective line. Ash and Kim should be taking notes.
