>>5433976Thing is it's almost impossible to airbrush the face because the eyes are decaled on, and she has eyefolds stuff that are just a line thin. I doubt even a masking master could mask it properly. And trying to match two different types of paints is a huge pain in the ass.
Anyway, it's on the back burner now. I'm out of orange paint and can't mix my own brown. Maybe I'll try the body with tamiya + lacquer and then just try to match the face with an acrylic if I have to.
>>5434195Originally it was supposed to be lighter, more like an earthy red, like an amazon chocolate with a red tint. The testors turned significantly, significantly darker than I expected and basically turned into ebony.
Anyway, it's stripped. Found out that the white and blue parts on the torso were actually just weak lacquer paint or something. Lacquer thinner took it off too easily baka. The plastic doesn't seem to be damaged at all, which is good at least.
I wish there were a way to paint the flexible parts but I can't seem to find a real solution. If anyone knows please tell me. Not being able to paint the hair is really a bummer.
