>>9910660Brah, that's like saying half of the world's population was killed off during hte black plague era because of the battle of Crecy.
When Hasbro buys a license, they expect to sell millions of units every year. In a GOOD quarter, they expect to sell half a million units or more.
Compare that to collector lines, with large collector companies like NECA and Good Smile, a huge hit will sell around 80k. Collector companies generally expect to sell 10-50k for a figure.
So if a Figma Speedy Girl or Skullface Assassin took 30k sales away from Hasbro's Speedy Girl or Skullface Assassin, the Overwatch license was one of the worst licenses ever licensed by a children's toy company. The level of shelf warming would be beyond the level of Green Lantern or Eternals shelf warming at the shelves.
Shit, the scale that the OVerwatched bombed if the Figma figures ate away at Hasbro's sales and Green Lantern toys bombing is like comparing the Battle of Crecy to the Black Death. There is no toyline that has ever bombed that badly... or am i just ignorant of some huge massive bomb?
Anyone know of anything that bad?
