But it does, because real shit doesn't look like that. If something is constructed out of panels it looks like this. The panels are flush because they are making up the structure. And if they aren't made of panels and just have panels for accessing internal components they would never have this many tightly packed and tiny panels. Can you Imagine how complex the base armor that all those panels are being slotted onto is? Its gonna look like swiss cheese and have no fucking structural stability. It would have to be designed by a fucking chimp to be constructed like this.
These guys are very clearly scared to have empty space anywhere on their stuff so when there aren't details they just pack the shit full of nonsense details. All they would have to do is make the ball look like it was assembled out of individual panels by cutting some nice radian lines or something but no. This is masturbation of an incredibly stupid kind.
