It's a small 1hr 32min runtime and they're wasting it on gag training montages and the DK crew. Seriously, DK's getting his own film, why does he have to pad out the runtime in a fight with Mario? So far the human world has more interesting things than, "Mario has to learn how to jump".
>They're not even trying with the jokes.Remember they had to delay the movie the first time because the test audience said the concept was really boring. Nintendo doesn't allow meta humor, dark, satire, or body humor. So you're left with slapstick and a lot of awkward moments. It's too clean.
