Nothing you've brought up even refutes your original point anyway so I don't care about these details. Blue plastic can be seen through the mold cuts, it's blue plastic chromed silver. Not die cast. And we both agree these parts are chromed, the whys of why the chrome is damaged here is irrelevant. Chipped die cast metal would show like this.
