Face it, no way they were going to do a doduo AND dodrio, or zubat/Dugtrio/tentacool/Clefable/others when we got their other evos that look similar.
On the other hand, its kinda amazing there's both Geodude and Graveller, Oddish and Vileplume, Nidorino and nidoking, maybe a few others I missed.
Also funny that they skipped the KFC promo pokemon. THAT's a lineup I'm really curious about. Why those four?

Everyone remember the Pokemon promo for the first movie at Burger King. but did you know the first Pokemon promo was in 98, just a month or so into the games being imported.
And the choices were absolutely bizarre. Just four beanie baby type plushies,no Pikachu or starters or Meowth or the venerable Poliwhirl, Tajiri's favorite and commons staple of early merch. I wonder how they decided on these choices
