Have you ever read the books, miniseries, or movie?
Dune is a narative about humans. It's not some shitty non-descript scifi generism about vehicles or monsters.
It's basically fucking A Song of Ice and Fire. Not Mad Max, Godzilla, or Transformers.
One of the reasons that every GoT line did so poorly is because the merch got made almost 5 years after it hit it big and the fact that GoT had mostly Karens for fans, on a premium channel marketed primarily to adults.
Dune has a far larger audience, because the series has been around for decades, enticing multiple generations and the movie is marketed to a far wider audience.
Whether the toyline will sell or not, who knows. Depends on how popular the movie is and if any of the characters take with movie audiences.
Even if it hits big, it might be an Avatar redux where everyone forgets it exists a year after it releases.
