YouLoveIt.com mentions that the Day Out line will be sold at smaller retailers like drug stores, Dollar Generals, and the like. So maybe Mattel made these smaller dolls to fit onto the smaller, cramped shelves of these 6th market retailers. I guess we'll see when they start appearing on shelves after Christmas or so.
