>>5241093>I don't know shit about gundam and all this time I assumed the SDs were from a goofy offshoot where the suits were their own characters or something.They started out as a fan manga and taken up by Bandai who were interested in smaller Gundam toys which would fit in gatcha capsules. They were extremely popular and got their own anime series which spawned a lot of designs unique to SDs (Knights like pic related and others). There's no anime for them any more but Gundam Build Fighters is a series where kids battle Gundam model kits and in Build Fighters Try there's a couple of people who use SD models' lack of realism to their advantage (Fumina's Winning Beam is fucking absurd in comparison to a main series Gundam).
