Face it. Hasbro cheaped out. They are one of the largest if not the largest toy company out there currently. They'll do that because it saves them money they can pay overhead fees for. You don't have to defend them, they're not gonna give you a discount for it. They are explicitly pushing 1/12 as their 'collector' product. Other companies are, currently, today, at this fucked up market, doing their 1/18 offerings better and cheaper because that's where they want to put their money.
