>>8573341Because Mattel doesn't own She-Ra as a media franchise. They sold the rights years ago to Filmation and then Filmation got bought up, but Mattel still owns the rights to take a first pass on any toys for any media franchise produced for She-Ra. This is also why when the Netflix series was being produced Super7 couldn't use She-Ra in Classics, because other toys might of been produced at that same time-- they pretty much weren't tho, because Mattel knew the show was bad, and Netflix cancelled the series-- although the people who worked on it use the cope that the show was ALWAYS supposed to be 52 episodes. However 52 episodes used to be a standard number of episodes for a cartoon back in the 80's and 90's, allowing for an episode a week for syndication. Essentially what it means is, they only HAD ONE SEASON and then pretended it was 5 seasons for marketing.
The fact is Dreamworks had control over the entire project and Dreamworks let Noelle Stevenson, an untalented animator in her 20's have complete control, despite that she was extremely young, and had never been in charge of a show before, and had gotten her job completely due to nepotism, and often posts on social media about how she hates men and Christians and white people-- and basically anything that isn't SJW. The show is her gay self insert fanfic, which would have never been produced if the characters weren't named after MOTU characters. The show is aimed at childless middle aged lesbians and trannies, and nobody else, and the marketing and team behind the show went out of their way to chase off the original fans of MOTU and She-Ra who kept the series alive over the years.
