As for your last point...y'know what? If you're comparing them to the lineart, which is what I used for this comparison, yeah, you might be right. Cause I think this lineart looks sort of stiff, and that's exactly how I thought of the old Eva kits. Stiff and awkward looking. They do remind me of the lineart though! Whereas Koto's new kit reminds me of how Eva 01 looked in motion to me in the anime--dynamic and ready for action.
