Look up rebuilds and take inspiration while putting constraints on yourself, like by only using pieces that were available at the time of release (with preference for pieces used and introduced in the same line) and with piece counts similar to those of a standard canister set. Really pay attention to the style of each piece that you're using so that things don't clash, and don't deviate far from techniques you see used in official sets. If you want to think about articulation, focus on making sure what you do include works well, not on introducing new joints or whatever. Make your builds as solid and simple as you can.
You're genuinely not good at mocing, which is an experience thing, and seeking direct coaching from the threads isn't going to benefit you because you lack the eye for how to actually implement ideas well. You need to play around a lot more and develop your own sense of what works before unloading it all step by step on the thread. Your part choice for the Nuju arm was a step in the right direction, doing something unique with parts that come from the right period, but it still lacks style.
