You get a chance to deliver where the movie disappointed and you don't take that opportunity? Even Power of the Force figures came with all kinds of weapons you never saw in the movies like that cool wrist-mounted blaster for Admiral Ackbar (which fit well with the Mon Calamari technological style) or Momow Nadon (Hammerhead)'s huge double blaster thing just so everyone would have something fun. In the flashback he's even wearing the same clothing so it would work if screen accuracy is all they cared about. Where did their brain cells go?
